Today, the University is listed in the world’s top 130 universities in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Young University Rankings 2022.
The University of Lincoln places students at the heart of everything they do and has a reputation for innovative teaching, having been awarded a five-star score overall in the QS Stars rating and Gold, the highest standard possible, in the national Teaching Excellence Framework.
Based in the East Midlands of England, Lincoln is a fascinating place for students to live and is home to a number of historical buildings and landmarks. The University’s graduation ceremonies take place at Lincoln Cathedral, which was built in 1072 and was once the tallest building in the world.
Manchester, England
The University of Manchester is based in the north of England and is among the largest universities in the UK, with around 38,000 students (almost 9,000 international) currently enrolled alongside 10,000 staff. The University is famous for its academic and research excellence, and is also a member of the Russell Group.
The University of Manchester currently has 25 Nobel Prize winners among current and former staff and students, and 91% of Manchester’s recent graduates go straight into employment or continued studies. In the prestigious Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities, the University of Manchester is ranked 33rd in the world and sixth in the UK.
Following the last Quality Assurance Agency review, it was stated that: “confidence can reasonably be placed in the soundness of the institution's present and likely future management of the quality of the learning opportunities available to students”, the best possible outcome for the University.
Stirling, Scotland
The University of Stirling is located in central Scotland, with over 120 different nationalities represented amongst its 14,000 students. Stirling was founded in 1967 and its campus is set in an 18th century castle estate on the shores of a loch, surrounded by beautiful hills.
The University of Stirling continues to have several unique factors outside of its location. It is a pioneer of a two-semester structure and modular degrees, allowing great flexibility in start times and changes in study. Degrees are also made up of credits earned from modules, which means that students can effectively change their subject as/or if their interests change.
More than 95% of all undergraduates were in employment or further study fifteen months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020, HESA) and it was Stirling students who named the University first in Scotland for having good teachers, quality lecturers and performance feedback (International Student Barometer 2016).
Work placement opportunities are also encouraged.
