University of York ranks in the top 20 UK University

Established in 1963, University of York has ranked consistently in the top 20 UK universities and top 50 in the Europe. York has jumped two places up from 19^th to 17^th in 2018's Guardian University Ranking. Situated in the south-east of the city of York, the university has one of the most beautiful campuses in the UK.

Nine of the University of York's departments also feature in the top ten for the following subjects:

• Psychology

• Social Policy and Administration
