Middlesbrough, England

Newcastle-under-Lyme, England
Keele University was the first new UK university of the 20th century and was founded to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scholarship. Keele pioneered the Dual Honours degree, which is still taken by around 70% of students. Single honours degrees are also available, as is a multi-disciplinary foundation year.

o Nick studied Photography at the AUB in the late 1970s/early 1980s. He has photographed some of the world’s most famous people and is a multi award-winning fashion photographer and owner of SHOWstudio.
o Edgar studied a two year National Diploma in Audio Visual Design at the AUB in the early 1990s and has achieved huge success as a writer, director and producer. He is most famous for his collaborations with Simon Pegg which include the Channel 4 television series ‘Spaced’ and films ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘The Worlds End’.
o Suri studied Film at the AUB in the mid 1980s. He has directed several films, including ‘A Man of No Importance’, ‘New Year’s Day’, and ‘Wuthering Heights’ as well as several episodes of the BBC drama ‘Waking the Dead’. He has won four Film Festival awards and has been nominated for three BAFTAs.
o Peter Cook received an Honorary fellowship in 2008. He originally studied at AUB in the 1950s. He was one of the founder members of the influential Archigram group in the 1960s and was co-editor of Archigram magazine. In 2007, he received a Knighthood for services to architecture in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Glasgow, UK
The University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world, founded in 1451. Based in Scotland’s largest city, the University of Glasgow is one of the world’s top 100 universities and currently has 26,000 students from over 120 different countries enrolled. Glasgow is also a member of the prestigious Russell Group of UK research universities.
Throughout its history Glasgow has created six Nobel laureates, one Prime Minister, Scotland's inaugural First Minister and the country's first female medical graduates. 96% of University of Glasgow research-active staff are in areas which have been independently assessed as producing research of international importance.

Dundee, Scotland
The University of Dundee was founded in 1881 and has developed a significant reputation for students entering the traditional professions, most notably law, medicine and dentistry as well as emerging areas such as life sciences. The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design is one of the UK’s top rated art schools, while the University of Dundee School of Medicine is ranked in the top 5 in the UK. Plymouth, England
The University of Plymouth is one of the largest universities in the UK, with over 23,000 students, including around 2,000 international students from over 100 countries, enrolled. It can trace its roots back to the Plymouth School of Navigation, founded in 1862 and was formally given full university status in 1992.
Plymouth was awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2012 for its worldwide reputation for marine and maritime education and research and 11 Plymouth University courses were recently rated among the top ten in the UK for student satisfaction. The city is also ranked 11th in the UK for most cost-effective places to study. Over 12,000 Plymouth students per year benefit from placements and work-based learning.
It is currently the only post-1992 university to have its own medical school, and has strong partnerships with other universities and institutions in the south west. Various departments have undergone much development in recent years, particularly the library and student union, faculties of Health and Education and Society and Marine Science.
Swansea, Wales
Swansea University is based in South Wales and currently has around 20,000 students enrolled across two campuses. The Singleton Park campus was established in 1920 and is home to the Swansea University Medical School, College of Human and Health Sciences, College of Arts and Humanities, and the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law. The Bay Campus opened in 2015 and is home to the College of Engineering, School of Management, and Computer Science.
Traditional strengths lie within the science subjects, but are strongly supported by humanities subjects, which are globally recognised. Swansea is ranked in the top 15 for Graduate Employment with an excellent 97% employment record.
Swansea also has one of the best student experiences in the UK according to its students, who consistently vote the University in the top 10 in the National Student Survey.
