Indian students looking for a career in the field of food sciences and technology can now study postgraduate courses with internship opportunities at the Cardiff Metropolitan University. The MSc Food Science and Technology, at Cardiff Met is a 2 year full-time course which comes with a 12 month internship placement opportunity designed to provide professional training along with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. The core course modules include global safety, global food conformity and global quality management systems.
Entry requirements for Indian students are as follows:
- IELTS score of 6.0 (5.5 in each area)
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics, Biochemistry/ Biotechnology, Life sciences, Agricultural Engineering or related areas
This programme will strengthen knowledge, leadership, research and problem-solving skills in the relevant subject area and prepare students to meet global challenges of the food industry. Cardiff Met University also offers this course through Pathway Route for students who are not eligible to directly apply for postgraduate course.
